Glenn C. Kienz is a Partner in the firm of Weiner Lesniak LLP in Parsippany, New Jersey specializing in Real Estate law and specifically zoning, planning and land use development and redevelopment along with environmental and municipal law.
Mr. Kienz is admitted to practice in New Jersey and before the U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey and the United States Supreme Court. He serves as a condemnation commissioner, as Associate Counsel to the New Jersey Planning Officials and is Counsel to the New Jersey Society of Municipal Engineers. He has also been qualified as an expert in Land Use before the New Jersey Courts. He is the past Chair of both the Land Use Section and Local Government Law Section of the New Jersey Bar Association and the past President of the New Jersey Institute of Local Government Attorneys. He currently serves as an adjunct faculty member at Rutgers University, and regularly teaches for NJICLE and the NJ Society of Professional Land Surveyors courses in government, ethics and land use and is frequently requested to speak at conferences and seminars. He has edited and written numerous articles including, “A Guide to Planning and Zoning Boards of Adjustment" (1990, revised 2000), and is an associate editor on the "Local Government Law Review."
With over 30 years of complex experience in land use, zoning and redevelopment areas and Mr. Kienz has tried cases before Judges in the State and Federal Courts. He holds an AV rating in Martindale Hubbell and has been recognized by New York Magazine as one of the “New York Areas Best Lawyers” as well as by New Jersey Monthly Magazine in the area of zoning and planning along with being designated as a “Super Lawyer”. Mr. Kienz was formerly partner and chair of the Public Law Group in the Secaucus office of Scarinci and Hollenbeck.
Mr. Kienz regularly represents public entities, developers and citizens in all legal and litigation matters concentrating primarily in redevelopment, land use proposals for industrial, commercial and residential development proposals before Boards. He has appeared before over 100 different agencies.
He received a Bachelor's Degree from Lafayette College, a Master’s Degree in Regional Planning from Pennsylvania State University, and a Law Degree from Seton Hall University where he was a member of the Law Review.
